Why We Stopped Doing Unlimited Revisions
Early on, we offered unlimited revisions on every project, thinking it signaled confidence in our work. In practice, it mostly signaled that scope had no edges, and a few projects stretched two or three times longer than they should have.
Now every proposal defines a specific number of revision rounds upfront. It hasn’t made clients unhappy — if anything, it’s made the process clearer for everyone, since there’s a shared understanding of what “done” looks like.
Unlimited revisions sounded generous until it started quietly eating every project’s margin.
