Three Client Red Flags We Watch For

A vague budget range that keeps shifting during early conversations is usually the first flag — not because a smaller budget is a problem, but because it often signals the scope hasn’t been thought through either.

The second is a request to see a fully custom concept before any commitment. The third is difficulty naming a single decision-maker. Any one of these is manageable; two or three together usually means a rockier project ahead.

None of these are dealbreakers alone, but together they’re worth a longer conversation before signing.
